The Opportunity

Currently, no other software packages exist in the domestic market that allow non-IT professionals the ability to extract data from more than one type of data source. Products to consolidate and report data from multiple sources of the same type, and even some add-ins to the popular Oracle© Database and MicroSoft Office© Suite which allow users access to different resources from within their own development environments exist, but these packages are costly and require extensive IT and/or database knowledge, making them an unrealistic choice for small to medium sized businesses without the benefit of an in-house IT department. The Company’s product, from the initial stage, will allow its users to access data from many different types of files and/or databases and then work with that extraction as if all the requested data were found in one location.

The product is initially targeted at small and independent business owners who most frequently have little or no computer experience or expertise. The Company’s software products are easy to install, easy to setup and easy to use. Through the use of the customizable Director, and the Point-and-Click environment, users can establish a data bridge and consolidate data with no support or training materials to master. Little to no experience is required (or expected) in order to fully utilize the technology made available by the product, allowing users to spend more time on quality business activities and less on repetitive, manual data collection and report generation.

The Market

Since no similar product is currently available to non-IT users, the market is untapped. The Company’s product will initially be marketed to users involved in small business and/or small office data accumulation. As small and medium sized businesses grow and/or consolidate, the Company’s software remains available to accommodate the expanding business information.

Subsequent versions of the Product will allow IT professionals to design data bridges, which may then be compiled as standalone components ("DLLs") to be utilized by in-house application developers. These DLLs allow companies to spend time developing the business logic and processing in its applications and less time on the data consolidation process itself.

The Company's current product is in early stage development, having been fully designed by IT professionals with over 50 years of combined IT experience in both front-end software development and back-end database design and process.

Differentiation

The Company's initial product (Viatect) will fill a hole in the business intelligence software market, that being the merging of data from multiple, incongruous data sources in an affordable, simple to use format. The ease of setup and definition of data to be extracted will allow the software to be marketed to PC users with minimal report generation experience and no IT support. The base package is planned to be marketed at less than $100 per license, allowing small business professionals access to software that until now has been only available to large corporations with deep pockets. Additional data source modules, such as those to access data in relational databases like Oracle©, will become available as separately purchased modules, allowing users the opportunity to grow the product as their business information resources grow. As new IT products and technologies come to market, the Product will be able to include new modules as separate purchases and grow along with the technology itself. Through this process of growing with the market, the Product will never become obsolete.

The combination of the usability, scalability and product cost will establish the Company as a viable player in the Business Information software development business.
